"50 Ways to Live Longer"

This list that was published in a March 2017 issue of AARP Magazine, that presented 50 scientific study-based longevity tips, seemed worthwhile to publish...I've marked my results in red!!!

1.Consider extra Vitamin D...sunlight plus supplementation.
2. Cut back on pain pills...reserve for severe pain and take lowest doses.
3. Sleep no less than 6 hours per night...8 are better...stick to a regular sleep schedule.
4.Have frequent sex.
5.Get or stay hitched...less chance of cardiovascular disease
6. Eat ripe fruits...antioxidants
7.Say yes to an extra cup of coffee.
8.Frozen vegys and fruits are fine.
9.Drink green tea.
10.Don't add sugar.
11.Eat whole grains.
12.Spice it up...endorphin's reduce pain and inflammation
13.Drink whole milk to ward diabetes.
14.Drink lots of water.
15.Be "food safe"...sanitation and handling
16.Eat less
17.End the day's eating by 9 pm.
18.Eat your veggies.
19.Eat like the Greeks...Mediterranean w/ fruits, vegys, olive oil, fish and nuts.
20.Or live like the Amish!
21.Drink less...and red wine as the choice.
22. Save your pennies!
23. If your not wealthy, consider moving to California, NY, or Vermont.
24. Listen to Beethoven or view the Grand Canyon...experience awe!
25.Eat nuts...and not peanut butter.
26.Find "your purpose".
27.Embrace your faith.
28.Vacation or else...
29.Consider mountain life...higher elevations result in longer life!
30.Get a friend with legs.
31.Laughter is the best medicine.
32.Get social.
33.Watch your grandkids.
34.Stay out of the hospital!
35.Monitor yourself for health warnings.
36. Test home carbon monoxide levels.
37.Read!
38.Toss the rug...hard surface flooring.
39.Practice home fire drills.
40.Find a female doctor!
41.Make peace with the Family.
42.Take the stairs daily.
43.Buy a new tech auto.
44.But watch the distraction of the touchscreen dash!
45.As you age...drive less.
46.Better yet walk!
47.But not just in the street!
48.And walk faster!
49.Move..don't just sit!
